epsilon csgo make changes

Although we had an important victory in Season One of the Gfinity Elite Series, Epsilon eSports have decided for a complete overhaul of our CSGO team in the build up to season two of the Elite Series. The international lineup was unable to find the right composition to continue for the time being, with the recent departure of Fredrik “freddieb” Buo.

André “BARBARR” Moller requested to take some time off, in which we have gladly awarded him, being an exceptional long term pillar of Epsilon eSports. Following our decision to separate with Lasse “maeve” Elsgaard, it was an unfortunate chain of events that lead to Smooya and Cosmeeen being benched for the time being. We still strongly believe in both talents for the future, who has been both easy players to work with.

Moving forward, we were inspired by creating a new all-Swedish lineup prepared by Christian “Chrille” Lindberg as we look to defend the title that we won in the inaugural season. They have shown sparks of brilliance, accompanied with the known Swedish dedication, that with time will allow them to move swiftly along the rankings.

Good luck boys! Great to have you on board!

Epsilon eSports & CSGO split amicably

Today, a heartbreaking decision was made by both the Epsilon eSports management and the squad to go their separate ways after over half a year together and many trials seen through. The list of accomplishments by the squad only highlights how proud Epsilon was of not only what the squad achieved, but also what they overcame.

A hotly debated decision by Epsilon to pick up a squad that the community believed to be using cheats, we saw the potential that the squad had, and threw our full weight behind them. Over the past 7 months, the team not only quieted all doubts about their legitimacy, but also performed to the highest standards that we could have imagined, consistently ranking among the top squads in both online and LAN competition.

Unfortunately, with Epsilon shifting priorities and venturing into new territory, the time has come to leave the CSGO scene for the moment and focus on other avenues.

Jesper “jw” Wecksell on the split –

The time has come, the time to say good bye to Epsilon.

We have had a lot of support playing under the management of Epsilon and we want to give a special thanks to our manager Slick who picked us up when no one else believed in us.

We appreciate everything Epsilon has done for us, we improved greatly under their name and we became a top team while playing for them. But nothing lasts forever and we have decided to part ways on good terms with each other. Don’t worry though; we will keep playing under the tag SY&b until we find a new home.

The squad will stick together, and with recent addition MODDII completing the line-up, we fully expect the squad to continue being a powerhouse in the CSGO scene. We wish nothing but the best of luck to Jesper and the rest of the squad, it was a great run!

Epsilon CS:GO Welcomes Back Fxy0

Epsilon Esports have today decided to welcome back to the team Joey “Fxy0″ Schlosser.

fxyo

We have been looking to solidify our line up and create a new team structure.
The re-admittance of Fxy0 into the team is a key part of this re-building, and we feel that he brings obvious talent and ability to the line up.

Speaking today, Robin “GMX” Stahmer had this to say about the this change:

“I’d like to welcome back fxy0 into the line up.  Before going to Dreamhack we spent sometime together and we had a long chat.
We discussed about him and the team, and I chose to give him another chance. I really hope he’s going to give the best he can to the team,  as this is what he said to me when we talked together.
Now , we’re going to do our best for the ESL PRO LEAGUE, MLG qualifiers, and every other online competition in which we take part!
Lastly I’d like to thank Epsilon, as I’ve never really done that before! Its an amazing organisation, with awesome staff and an awesome CEO. They keep supporting me after 6 months and still trust me. So a big thank you to everyone at EPSILON!”

This now means the Epsilon CS:GO team consists of:

Robin “GMX” Stahmer
Joey “Fxy0″ Schlosser
Adil “Scream” Benrlitom
Kévin ‘Uzzziii’ Vernel

For the time being, Madour “B1GGY” Morgan will fill in as our last player.

We wish the team the best of luck with all upcoming events, and look forward to watching the team perform on behalf of Epsilon!

News – EPSILON ESPORTS MODDII & fnatic part ways, becomes Epsilon.CSGO’s 5th

It is always said that rumors contain a grain of truth, and after discussions between all parties, Andreas “MODDII” Fridh today joins Epsilon and becomes the final player to round out the squad just in time to compete in tonights FACEIT June Cup for a €1.500 prize purse!

A long time member of fnatic dating back to the days of competitive 1.6 play, MODDII followed the rest of the fnatic crew over to CSGO at the end of 2012. However, a longing to return to the Swedish scene after 2 years with the Danes led MODDII to make a difficult request in being released from the fnatic lineup.

With the rare combination of being an in-game leader (IGL) and strong fragging power, MODDII has played for the likes of Giants, SK Gaming, and H2k Gaming before joining fnatic. Consistent in his performances and heavily experienced, we believe MODDII will be an integral part of the squad leading into the future.

The updated roster now consists of:

sweden  Jesper “jw” WWecksell
sweden  Robin “flusha” Rönnquist
sweden  Andreas “schneider” Lindberg
sweden  Jonathan “devilwalk” Lundberg
sweden  Andreas “MODDII” Fridh

Epsilon General Manager Greg “slick” Champagne on MODDII teaming up with Epsilon –

“We have been very proud of the recent achievements of our Epsilon.CSGO squad, particularly over the past month, and the acquisition of such a highly regarded talent to round out the CSGO squad does not come as a surprise. The consistency, experience, and talent that Andreas brings will greatly benefit a young, extremely potent line-up and will raise our standards even higher.”

We are glad to have you with us Andreas! We would also like to thank fnatic for respecting MODDII’s wish to return to the Swedish CSGO scene.

Make sure to tune in tonight and watch the new-look Epsilon squad in a tight 8 team tournament hosted by FACEIT.

Epsilon.CSGO removes Berg

We can today announce that André ”Berg” Kjellberg, the in-game leader of the Epsilon eSports.CSGO, will be removed from the team.
Berg joined up with Epsilon eSports back in March 2013, after he had been playing for the other Swedish team, Lemondogs. This decision was made since the team didn’t feel that Berg was motivated enough to continue.

Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg said the following about removing Berg:

Today i bring sad news as we are releasing a good player and a good friend from our roster.
Ever since CPH Games and NLAN we have been having mixed result’s which we are not happy with,

And after trying and trying to fix problems with our play, new problems arised one of them being berg’s lack of motivation so we had a talk within the team and came to the conclusion this change was needed for reaching our goals within CSGO.

I want to point out that there’s no bad blood between either players at this point and we end this journey with berg as friends.

We will try to find a standin for Dreamhack as its pretty urgent, and for us a very important tournament and then after Dreamhack we are going to sit down and talk and decide who is the perfect permanent replace.

Cya at Dreamhack

This means that Epsilon eSports.CSGO will go on hunting for a new player, just one week before DreamHack Summer 2013.

The remaining Epsilon.CSGO team is:

Jesper “jw” WWecksell
Robin “flusha” Rönnquist
Andreas “schneider” Lindberg
Jonathan “devilwalk” Lundberg

CS:GO – Epsilon Statement

It became apparent yesterday that a statement from our ex player, GMX, had surfaced accusing his ex team-mates of throwing a game some months ago.

We at Epsilon had absolutely no prior information about this situation and were as shocked to read this as everyone else.

Since this information came to be known, we have been working behind the scenes to gain as much data ourselves and also liaising with other bodies within the CS:GO scene such as Valve.
Firstly, we at Epsilon would like to make it clear that we absolutely do not condone cheating and exploiting systems in any way.

We have now decided to suspend the whole CS:GO team pending the results of ongoing investigations by both Valve and ESEA.

We will of course provide any more information, both when we have it, and when it is relevant to do so.

Welcome to Epsilon HYPE CS:GO

Epsilon are delighted to announce the formation of a new link with our Partners, Hype Energy.

We have taken on an academy CSGO team and they will play under the name Epsilon Hype! We hope this is just the first of such activities under the Epsilon/Hype banner!

hypesilon-1_b

The team is one that we think can go far under the strong influencers within Epsilon and particularly our CSGO heritage.
This is a new step for Epsilon, but we can see big benefits for all parties involved.

HYPE_LOGO
We must thank Hype Energy, not only for their support in backing our CSGO teams, but also in their continued support across all our activities!

The new Epsilon hype roster will be:

Hampus ‘hampus’ Poser (Capt) se
Alfred ‘RuStY’ Karlsson se
Kalle “perzon” Persson se
Linus ‘limp’ Brannlund se
Patrik ‘powerputte’ Perjons se
Coach: Felix “FELLPA” Hedlund se

Coach FELLPA had this to say about the new set up:

“We got really excited when Chrille approached us about Epsilon, since we know that they have a great reputation and are a well known organisation. It will be a great place for us to take it to the next level especially with the support of Hype Energy. Their drinks will keep us focused during practice!
We all are happy to be a part of Epsilon and would like to thank Hype, Epsilon and Chrille for giving us this opportunity.”

Manu Álvarez, Social Media Manager at Hype Energy Drinks stated:

“This is a new step for Hype and Epsilon in their eSports adventure. Sponsoring young gaming talent can have an equal, or greater impact than sponsoring bigger teams, because you can see the potential of the players, their development and how they improve every single day, essentially following them from the start until they reach set goals. We can clearly see big benefits for all parties involved.”

We at Epsilon are looking forward to working with this team and helping them along their way.

Please support them with us!

Communication – smooya

We have taken note of the recent declaration of Owen “smooya” Butterfield, and understand the difficult situation he is in. As the most expensive UK CSGO player purchase made in Summer 2017 from Endpoint, we have always seen him as one of the great UK players to embrace the game. Unfortunately his international adventure ended abruptly with several key players not wanting to continue in the same team. (after his first major lan victory)

For the player’s well being and constant progression, we have advised him towards loan opportunities and will continue to do so. No organisations have expressed any interest at this time for a loan (except recent ESL Clash of Nations for Endpoint). We certainly do not want to block the player and have also received no transfer requests for a asking price which would be nowhere near the rumours, and yet to see even a proposal of the initial purchased amount.

Plans also involve  smooya in December 2017, with a new international team if he so desires to accept the challenge. Concerning recent declarations, we will get in contact with the player in pursuit of plans and facilitations, to make it easier for the time being.
